Synthetic 10W60 Motor Oil has Vis @ 100°C = 25.9 CSt, Vis @ 40°C = 170 CSt, Viscosity Index = 187, wear protection/less friction, fuel economy, high temp stability/oxidation resistance, less evaporation, & polyol ester base stock blend.
Red Line 10W60 Motor Oil is popular for newer BMW M-cars applications like E46, M3, and E60 M5 and is recommended for API SN/SM/SL/SJ/SH/SG/CF and ACEA A3/B3/B4. This specific viscosity is for BMW M-cars, but with PAO/Ester/Zinc unlike other brands. This fully-synthetic ester formula for passenger cars, light trucks, performance vehicles, and marine applications is designed to provide the highest protection, efficiency, and cleanliness, as well as superior drain intervals. It has excellent wear protection and friction reduction across a wide range of operating conditions. The high detergency allows extended drain intervals and provides increased cleanliness, while the improved fuel economy and ring seal allow for more power. It also has superior high temperature stability and oxidation resistance that increases lubrication of hot metal (compared to other synthetics). All products are completely compatible with other conventional and synthetic motor oils.
