The PIAA G3 Series LED Bulbs have been upgraded with the addition of CREE XP-L chips. These new chips provide a wider viewing angle and up to 50% more light output than previous models. The improved viewing angle effectively fills the light housings, creating a sharp beam pattern that has amplified coverage and distance with no dead spots or light scatter. Also, the LED chips sit on a thinner board that places the light source more toward the center of the column to replicate the precise location of a standard halogen filament. The combination of these two innovative designs allows the G3 LEDs to increase beam intensity and provide continuous light distribution throughout the beam. The LED drivers that come with the G3 have built in Pulse Modulation Control. The cooler the LED chips are, the longer they will work at maximum light output. The redesigned fan creates a vacuum effect that delivers 70% more airflow than the previous design. The computer-designed fins are placed in an exact location on the fan to keep the LEDs running cool and at optimal light output. Also, this new design cuts resonating fan noise by 40% to eliminate that irritating hum that other name brand bulbs have. The G3 is a plug and play LED bulb, meaning it will fit perfectly into factory light sockets with no splicing, cutting, or soldering needed. All the G3 bulbs are outfitted with factory bulb connections, making installation quick and easy. The G3 series does not comply with FMVSS108 or CMVSS108.
