The owner is a true audio enthusiast with a very high-end home audio system and wanted that same premium listening experience on his pride and joy. Alex Post took on the challenge and delivered a fully custom Diamond Audio setup designed for incredible sound quality, factory-style fitment, and long-term reliability.

This wasn’t a simple bolt-in install. Because this CVO came equipped with factory power-locking saddle bags, major custom fabrication work was required to make the lid kit function properly without interfering with the locking mechanisms.
Alex modified and repositioned the factory actuators, trimmed the Diamond Audio speaker kit for proper cable clearance, and ensured smooth lock operation without tension or future binding issues.
The rear tour pack also presented a challenge, as there wasn’t enough mounting depth for even the shallow speakers. To solve this, Alex fabricated custom two-piece spacer rings from Komatex, bonded them together with epoxy, wrapped them in matching black vinyl, and designed them to use the factory Harley mounting points — meaning the bike can still be returned completely to stock if desired. The finished result allowed the factory Harley speaker grilles to remain in place for a clean OEM appearance.
To improve sound quality even further, the front fairing speaker pods were lined with Hushmat to increase mid bass response and reduce unwanted resonance at higher volumes.
The system was also configured ACTIVE for both the front fairing and rear tour pack speakers using the MS14HD radio outputs, allowing much greater control over the tweeters for a smoother, more musical listening experience.
Additional waterproof Deutsch connectors were added to the rear tour pack wiring so the customer can still easily remove the tour pack when needed.
What truly stood out on this build was the level of care throughout the entire installation. Every surface was protected with cloths and plastic wrap, every removed part was carefully stored, and every bolt was organized to ensure it returned to its exact factory location — a detail-oriented process Alex perfected during his time at Claire’s Harley-Davidson.
The result? A Harley-Davidson CVO with incredible sound quality, factory-level fit and finish, and one very happy customer (and wife!) smiling ear to ear when they heard it for the first time. 👏🔥
