Melling high performance camshafts are developed for street, RV, strip and circle track use in domestic cars, light trucks, import vehicles and marine engines. Melling groups its performance grinds into classes so you can match the cam to how much the engine has been modified and how you use the vehicle. Each one is developed, engineered, tested and manufactured to high standards of quality and materials. Install new lifters with every new camshaft.

Melling rates its Class 1 camshafts for good idle quality with low-rpm torque and mid-range performance, for stock or slightly modified engines with a manual or automatic transmission.
