External Single Connection Ignition Coil; Entry Level Spark Output w/Single Connector; 3.6 mH Inductance; 40000 Max Volts; 80:1 Turns Ratio; Red/Black;
When it comes to late model performance parts, nothing beats bolt-on and direct connection components. These new bolt-in coils are designed with improved materials and windings to produce a stronger output. GM single connector coil PN 8231. Used on 1996 to 1999 General Motors vehicles. Installation tip: if you plan to install an MSD Ignition with this coil, use a PN 8877 harness for a direct plug-in installation.
