This Garrett wastegate actuator opens and closes the turbo's wastegate, which bypasses exhaust around the turbine wheel to regulate boost pressure. A failed actuator can cause overboost, low boost or a loss of power, and replacing it restores proper boost control. It is a new Garrett part, fit, form and function tested to meet or exceed original equipment standards.
