This is a Garrett remanufactured turbocharger, a cost-effective way to replace a worn or failed turbo with a unit remanufactured by the company that engineers it. A turbocharger uses the engine's exhaust gas to spin a turbine wheel, which drives a compressor wheel that feeds compressed air into the engine for more power and better efficiency. Garrett supplies turbocharging technology to nearly every major automaker and to top-level racing series, including Formula 1. Each unit is fit, form and function tested to meet or exceed original equipment standards.

Garrett lists this part for the 12V4000 engine (48L, 12-cylinder, diesel, 2,054 HP, 2010 and later) in mine truck, 60hz generator set applications.
