McLeod steel flywheels are perfect for street applications where easy stop-light acceleration is desired. Steel flywheels come in various weights and dimensions. For race applications, a heavier steel unit is ideal for helping launch a heavy car with a smaller engine with less torque and horsepower. They are CNC machined from billet alloy steel and have 1045 hardened steel ring gears.

The McLeod 460535 flywheel is a billet steel, SFI‑rated unit built from 1045 hardened steel with a 168‑tooth ring gear, designed for Chevrolet LS‑X engines from 1997–2013. It features a 6‑bolt crank pattern, weighs 28 lbs, and includes a +.400" raised face for proper clutch engagement. This flywheel fits a wide range of GM performance vehicles, including Camaro (1998–2013), Corvette (1997–2013), SSR (2005–2006), Pontiac Firebird (1998–2002), Pontiac GTO (2004–2006), and numerous Chevrolet and GMC Silverado/Sierra 1500–3500 models equipped with 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, and 6.2L engines.
