Intended for the high-horsepower street fan, the McLeod RST twin-disc clutch kit is an economically priced twin-disc clutch kit. Able to handle 800hp, this clutch can handle almost any horsepower you can throw at it and still remain street-able. Organic-lined clutch discs will provide smooth engagement with a soft pedal effort to make this clutch kit ideal for the street-only performance enthusiast. This unit is not intended for competition use! Look to our RXT and RXT 1200 for those applications. This series of clutches comes in 3 different configurations to best suit your needs. Adapter ring version. Another McLeod Racing exclusive. We build a twin disc clutch using a patented, approved adapter ring to bolt to your supplied flywheel. Complete Unit with Dedicated Flywheel. No need to search for the clutch as one number and the flywheel as another number. McLeod Racing has you covered with one part number and a complete dedicated unit ready to plug and play. You have the choice of running a Billet Steel flywheel for your street applications or a Billet Aluminum flywheel for your track cars.
The McLeod RST clutch and flywheel package is designed for GM LS-powered applications featuring a 6-bolt crankshaft, 1-1/8" x 26 spline input, and a 168-tooth flywheel. Available with either an aluminum or steel flywheel, the RST system delivers a lighter-than-stock pedal feel while maintaining excellent drivability. Its organic clutch facings provide smooth engagement and outstanding release characteristics, making it ideal for both street performance and daily driving. The clutch is designed to bolt to most flywheels for easy installation.
This assembly fits a variety of Chevrolet and Pontiac vehicles, including the Chevrolet Camaro (1998-2002 5.7L, 2010-2013 6.2L), Chevrolet Corvette (1997-2004 5.7L, 2005-2007 6.0L, 2006-2013 7.0L, and 2008-2013 6.2L), Chevrolet SSR (2005-2006 6.0L), Pontiac Firebird (1998-2002 5.7L), and Pontiac GTO (2004 5.7L and 2005-2006 6.0L).
