A BDS Suspension lift kit raises your truck or SUV to make room for larger tires and add ground clearance, while correcting the geometry that matters for a good ride and safe handling. Each kit is engineered for the vehicle it fits, with components chosen to restore steering, driveline and suspension angles after the lift. BDS kits are offered with a choice of shock packages, so you can match the ride to how you use your vehicle, from daily driving and towing to trail and off-road use.
This part number is configured with rear shock: NX2 Nitro Series Rear Shocks; OE knuckle type: Large Bore. Front lift: 4 in (cross member & strut spacer, cross-member). Rear lift: 3 in (coil spring). Clears tires up to 35 x 12.5. Recommended tire and wheel setups: 35 x 12.5 tires on 18 x 9 wheels with 5 in backspacing; 35 x 12.5 tires on 20 x 9 wheels with 5 in backspacing. Estimated installation time is 10 hrs, rated moderate. Installation notes: Fits 4WD models only; RAMs with factory 22" wheels require larger bore knuckles due to larger wheel bearing assembly. Reference build code WPM or WPZ; Will NOT fit adjustable "air ride" suspension equipped models; Vehicles equipped with the Off-Road Group Package require the Ram 1500 Rebel 4in kit to achieve correct ride height. To find out if your truck is equipped with the Off-Road Group, call your local Ram dealer, provide your VIN and ask if they can pull your window sticker. In the 'Optional Equipment' section there will be a line item that reads 'Off-Road Group' if your truck is equipped; Stock 18" wheels cannot be reinstalled due to steering interference. Stock 20s can be reinstalled with factory tire size; Will NOT work on diesel models; Will NOT fit 2019-2022 RAM 1500 Classic models, Refer to the 2018 kit listings; Will NOT fit models equipped with the Thermal Axle option. Reference build code DSK-P or check the diff cover for cooling lines; If using 18in wheels with maximum recommended backspacing, test fit wheels on vehicle before mounting tires to ensure clearance.
