A BDS Suspension lift kit raises your truck or SUV to make room for larger tires and add ground clearance, while correcting the geometry that matters for a good ride and safe handling. Each kit is engineered for the vehicle it fits, with components chosen to restore steering, driveline and suspension angles after the lift. BDS kits are offered with a choice of shock packages, so you can match the ride to how you use your vehicle, from daily driving and towing to trail and off-road use.
This part number is configured with rear lift: 5 Inch Block Kit Without Overload; shock: FOX 2.5 Performance Elite Shocks. Front lift: 6.5 in (cross-member). Rear lift: 3 in or 4 in or 5 in (block). Clears tires up to 37 x 12.5. Recommended tire and wheel setups: 37 x 12.5 tires on 17 x 8 wheels with 4.625 in backspacing; 37 x 12.5 tires on 18 x 9 wheels with 4.625 in backspacing; 37 x 12.5 tires on 20 x 9 wheels with 6 in backspacing. Estimated installation time is 8-10 hrs, rated difficult. Installation notes: Torsion Bar Tool required to load/unload the torsion bars; 3" rear block kit recommended for dually applications, 5" rear block kit will not fit dually applications; Stock 17" & 18" wheels cannot be reinstalled; Stock 20" x 8.5" wheels with 6.18" backspacing MAY fit with a max tire size of 37x12.50 on certain tire sidewall profiles due to clearance to the steering knuckle and sway bar. A minimum 1/4" wheel spacer may be required due to tire side wall profile variations. A wider tire will cause clearance issues with the steering knuckle; Factory dually wheels cannot be reinstalled; Models with two piece rear driveshaft may require #121612; If minor front driveline vibration occurs at highway speeds while in 4wd and the vehicle will be used in this situation on a regular basis, we recommend replacing the front driveshaft with a dual Cardan style driveshaft.
