A BDS Suspension lift kit raises your truck or SUV to make room for larger tires and add ground clearance, while correcting the geometry that matters for a good ride and safe handling. Each kit is engineered for the vehicle it fits, with components chosen to restore steering, driveline and suspension angles after the lift. BDS kits are offered with a choice of shock packages, so you can match the ride to how you use your vehicle, from daily driving and towing to trail and off-road use.

This part number is configured with rear lift: 5 Inch Block Kit With Overload; rear shock: FOX 2.0 Performance Series Rear Shocks. Front lift: 6.5 in (cross-member). Rear lift: 5.75 in (block). Clears tires up to 37 x 12.5. Recommended tire and wheel setups: 37 x 12.5 tires on 17 x 9 wheels with 4.625 in backspacing; 37 x 12.5 tires on 18 x 9 wheels with 4.625 in backspacing; 38 x 13.5 tires on 20 x 9 wheels with 6.18 in backspacing. Estimated installation time is 8 hrs, rated difficult. Installation notes: For DRW models, use the w/ overload rear lift option; Requires frame bracket modification; Torsion Bar Tool required to load/unload torsion bars, The GM specified tool is #CH48809; Models with two-piece rear driveshafts will require a carrier bearing drop kit; Factory 17-18" wheels cannot be reinstalled due to tie rod end interference, stock 20" wheels can be reinstalled with up to a 35x12.50 tire; In some cases vehicles used in 4WD on the highway regularly could potentially experience a minor front driveline vibration. If this occurs we recommend replacing the front driveshaft with a dual Cardan style driveshaft; Do not install this suspension system in conjunction with any type of torsion bar lift keys to achieve more that tested 6.5" lift height; Some minor trim will be required with certain wheel/tire combination. This is normal with most aftermarket tire/wheel fitment on Chevy/GM trucks. Trimming will normally included the bottom edge of the inner fender shrouds and/or lower corner of front bumper valance. As a rule of thumb, deeper backspacing and shorter/narrower tires will reduce/eliminate trimming required; Will NOT work with AT4X or ZR2 models, lower control arm profile is different; When combining the Recoil traction bars (BDS2300) with a 6.5” suspension lift kit and your truck does NOT have a top mounted overload (BDS753 kit variants), 15.5” long U-bolts are provided. Longer U-bolts will be needed to install the traction bars. Please purchase UBT4200 (X4) to mount the traction bars to your vehicle.
