PPE head studs exceed the standards required by performance diesel engines. Made from 8740 chromoly with a black oxide finish, they're precision centerless ground and have threads rolled to Mil-S-8879 for strength with less thread stress, with an independently verified tensile strength over 231,900 psi. Head studs clamp more evenly than factory head bolts and are highly recommended for boost levels of 45 psi and higher. Kits include hardened parallel washers, nuts and assembly lube for accurate torque readings.
