JB's Staff Picks - Marlon D - PRW Q-Jet Carburator

"A lot of people seem to write off the Quadrajet and make the mistake of going to a smaller, less efficient carburetor. This is usually due to a lack of understanding of the Q-jet. They are definitely a pain to rebuild, and tuning parts typically have to come from the States. Now, with the PRW Q-jet, they are all brand new and have part-throttle adjustment externally. This adjustment is a common modification for Q-jets, but that job is done for you with the PRW. They make this in either OEM linkage configuration, as well as either OEM CFM size — 750 or 800 CFM. They also include every vac port that the Q-jet ever came in. Super easy bolt-on, and it retains the fuel economy, response, and full-throttle power that the Quadrajet is great at delivering. I installed one on the built SBC in my '79 El Camino, and it works beautifully."
