Why “Off The Shelf” Isn’t Good Enough
When you’re building a project car — whether it’s a 1972 Chevelle, a classic Mustang, a hot rod, or a purpose-built street machine — the engine is the heart of everything. Most builders settle for a generic crate engine built to average specifications for an average customer. Proworx Performance Engines exist for builders who refuse to be average.
Built right here in Edmonton, Alberta, every Proworx engine is custom-spec’d around your build, your horsepower goals, and your personal style. You choose the displacement, the valve covers, the colour, the finish — and you work directly with our team to dial in the combination that is right for your vehicle, not somebody else’s.
“Most crate engines are built for the masses. Proworx builds yours. Custom-spec’d, customer-controlled, and dyno-proven to outperform the big-name crate companies.”
The result is an engine that doesn’t just fit in your car — it was designed for your car, assembled by hand by master engine builder Len Feschuk, and verified on our in-house dyno before it ever leaves our facility.
Chevy & Ford Strokers. Built Your Way.
Proworx offers a proven range of Chevy and Ford stroker combinations, each available in multiple build levels with your choice of dress-up components. Every combination has been developed, tested, and refined by our team over decades of real-world performance experience.
Chevy Small Block
383 Stroker
Performance Ranges from 450–520 HP
The quintessential small block stroker. Blueprinted, balanced, and built with proven combinations that deliver more torque and power than anything off a warehouse shelf. Available with polished aluminum, matte black, gloss orange, or gloss black valve covers.
Chevy Big Block
496 Big Block Stroker
Performance Ranges from 540–620 HP
When a small block won’t do, the 496 delivers massive torque and street-crushing power. Perfect for heavy muscle cars, trucks, and builds that demand big block presence with custom refinement.
Chevy Big Block
540 Big Block Stroker
Performance Ranges from 540–660 HP
The top of the Chevy big block lineup. Available fully dressed with EFI or carbureted fueling and complete front-drive billet aluminum accessory packages in polished or black finish.
Ford Small Block
347 Stroker
Performance Ranges from 440–530 HP
The Ford Windsor stroker that Mustang and Fox-body builders have been choosing for decades. Sharp power curve with real street manners, built to a quality level no catalogue engine can match.
Ford Small Block
408 Windsor Stroker
Performance Ranges from 475–580 HP
The 408 Windsor hits a sweet spot between streetability and all-out performance — a favourite for truck builds, restomod projects, and anything that needs serious mid-range grunt.
Ford Small Block
427 Stroker
Performance Ranges from 480–620 HP
The ultimate Ford small block stroker. High displacement combined with high-flow cylinder heads and proven cam profiles deliver power across the entire RPM range.
All Proworx engines are available as long block, or fully dressed turnkey assemblies. A fully dressed Proworx engine includes the long block plus a billet aluminum distributor, ignition wire set, EFI or carbureted fueling, and optional front-drive billet aluminum accessory packages with alternator and power steering pump in polished aluminum or black finish.
You Spec It. We Build It. You Win.
The biggest difference between a Proworx engine and every other crate engine on the market isn’t just the power numbers — it’s the process. When you order a Proworx engine, you’re not picking from a catalogue. You’re working with our team to build exactly what you need.

70+ Years of Combined Performance Experience.
A great engine doesn’t come from a parts list — it comes from experience. The Proworx team brings over seven decades of combined high-performance engine design, building, dyno testing, and real-world performance experience to every single build.
Master Engine Builder
Len Feschuk
Len is the hands that build every Proworx short and long block assembly. Every Engine. Dyno-Tested.
One of the most important things that separates Proworx from generic crate engine suppliers is our commitment to verified performance. It’s easy for any manufacturer to print power numbers on a spec sheet. It’s another thing entirely to put every engine on a dynamometer and prove those numbers before it ships.
At Proworx, every engine is dyno-tested upon completion. When you receive your engine, you have real, verified horsepower and torque figures confirmed on our own equipment in our own facility — no guesswork, just proven performance.
- In-house dynamometer facility in Edmonton, Alberta
- Every engine run and verified before shipping
- Real horsepower and torque numbers — not catalogue claims
- Proven combinations developed through decades of real-world testing
- Issues caught and corrected before the engine reaches your vehicle
Real Builds. Real Results.

“Fern and the team were amazing to deal with. Purchased a 496 stroker for my 1972 Chevelle and picked it up in Calgary. Done on time and any time I had questions he answered me. Excellent service in my book. Dealing with them was no stress and I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much Fern and the rest of the team. I will be seeing you guys soon. Will definitely be buying parts from them in the future.”
